Outdoor Gantry Crane is relatively in bad environment compared with indoor gantry crane. So it need better power supply performance. Many users choose the power supply for gantry crane, mainly drum cables. The cost of the reel cable is low, while with bad effect. From the feedback of users, many users are planning to change the reel cable to the trolley conductor line. Here Weihua shows the replacement of the power supply mode of the outdoor gantry crane trolley line.

1. The installation method of outdoor gantry cranes can be 2 ways: 1) Overhead installation: Erecting poles or steel pillars next to the gantry crane rails, laying rails above the steel poles, and then welding the upper rails. Touch the steel angle bracket and install the trolley wire in the normal order. 2) Trench-type upper edge installation: dig a drainage ditch on the side of the gantry crane track. The depth can be according to the actual situation. Then, the steel wire is welded or fixed on the Gantry Crane Rail or rail pressure plate. The brackets are then installed in the normal mounting sequence of the trolley wires.

2. Outdoor gantry cranes generally have a long traveling distance. When selecting trolley lines, voltage drops and power supply points must be considered. In addition, the outdoor heavy duty cranes generally have large tonnages. Under normal circumstances, dual collectors need to be configured to enhance their power supply capabilities.

3. For outdoor gantry cranes, electrified trolley wires can be used at the same time as electricity. Tram lines can also be considered. Tram lines are also a form of consideration for power supply for outdoor gantry cranes. However, tram lines are relatively less used in outdoor gantry crane applications.
