Gantry Crane Inspection and Maintenance

1. Lubrication

The working performance and service life of the Gantry Crane mechanisms relay on lubrication. Lubricants shall be injected once a week for trolley, crane, etc. The hoisting mechanism is filled with industrial gear oil. The oil level shall be checked frequently and replenished promptly.

2. Wire Rope

Change the broken wire rope as the worn reaches the scrapping standard.

3. Sling Device

Sling devices must be checked regularly.

4. Pulley group

Mainly check the wear of the rope groove, whether the rim breaks and whether the pulley is stuck on the shaft.

5. Crane Wheel

Check the rim and tread regularly, and replace the new one in case the rim portion wears or cracks to 10% of the thickness. If the difference happens between the diameters of the two driving wheels on the tread exceeds D/600, or if serious scars occur on the tread, the boogie shall be renewed.

6. Brake

Each class should be checked once.

The brake shall work accurately and the pin must not be stuck. The brake shoe shall be properly fitted to the brake wheel, and the clearance of the brake shoe shall be equal when the brake is released.

7. Reducer

In order to prevent the oil leakage in the reducer, users shall carry out regular inspections of vents, fuel, cabinets, and fasteners should be performed in a routine manner.
