450-ton Gantry Crane for a Shipyard Project

We are proud to announce that Weihua has successfully completed the lifting of a massive 450t shipbuilding Gantry Crane for Wuhu Shipyard. Boasting an impressive 92m span, this state-of-the-art crane has a rated lifting weight of 450t and a rated turning weight of 300t. It is designed to carry out important tasks such as turning and closing operations of the ship's hull, and is equipped with features that ensure safety and smooth operation.

For instance, during the design phase, our engineers made use of ANSYS software to simulate and analyze various usage conditions of the product, adjusting the bearing stress for improved wind resistance, earthquake resistance, collision resistance, and anti-overturning capabilities. Additionally, the crane's lifting drum has a double-layer parallel winding structure and is equipped with a rope guide that prevents steel wire rope jumping during lifting, ensuring safe operation. The institution, on the other hand, comes with a variable frequency electrical control system that allows for load balancing, high-precision positioning, and automatic correction of supporting legs. It can achieve slow and fast operation under full load and light load, effectively solving the problem of safe switching between multiple lifting hooks lifting simultaneously and independent lifting of a single hook. Finally, the gantry crane is equipped with a safety monitoring system, elevators, and emergency walkways, making it easy for drivers and maintenance personnel to access different parts of the crane.
